Padolyst blouse

price excl. VAT €8.00

Padolyst is an archaic Ukrainian name for the month of November and I think it suits this design perfectly. There was no doubt in my head about this name once it came to me. Imagine it in shades of red/orange/yellow and you will have pure fall on your needles.

The blouse is knit top-down in the round with a raglan shoulder construction. Picked up from an i-cord, the opening of the neckline is framed with leafy colourwork worked flat using intarsia technique. The extra puffy sleeves are accentuated with another colourwork section worked in the round and are tapered towards the cuffs. The body and the sleeves are trimmed by double knitted hem and cuffs.

The pattern calls for any fingering weight yarn that will give a matching gauge. You can take a closer look at my sample and discover the design process in episode 28 of my podcast.

Sizes:

The pattern is written for nine sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) with a finished bust circumference of ca. 80 (90, 101, 110, 121) (131, 140, 151, 161) cm / 32 (36, 40.25, 44, 48.5) (52.25, 56, 60.25, 64.25) in incl. 5-10 cm (2-4 in) of the recommended positive ease.

The sample is slightly cropped and is shown in size 2 on a 160 cm (5.3 ft) tall model with ca. 84-66-94 cm (33–26–39 in) body measurements.
For more of the finished garment measurements, please refer to the schematic.
