Fynbos (/ˈfeinbos’/ in Afrikaans means “fine bushes”) is a small belt of heathland vegetation located in the Western and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa. In scientific circles Fynbos is known for its exceptional degree of biodiversity and endemism. “Endemic” term means species, that have not been found anywhere else in the world. Just imagine, it is home to more than 6.000 endemic plant species.
I designed a light cropped pullover using a fingering weight mix of merino wool with linen, with a round yoke with floral stranded colourwork featuring a pattern of floats on the right side and a delicate lace trimming along the neck, cuffs and hem. The pullover is worked top down in the round.
The pattern is written for nine sizes to fit 74 [84, 94, 104, 114] [124, 134, 144, 154] cm // 29 [33, 37, 41, 45] [49, 53, 57, 61] in bust circumference with ca. 13-14 cm (5-5.75 in) of positive ease.
For the finished garment measurements, refer to the schematics.
The sample is shown in size 2 on a 160 cm (5.25 ft) tall model with ca. 84-66-94 cm (33-26-39 in) body measurements.
