Silín [ˈʃɪlʲinʲ] from Gaelic means “cherry” and the name refers not only to the colour of the sample, but also to the colourwork pattern on the yoke. They might not necessarily be cherries if you take a closer look at the leaves, but those are definitely berries on little branches and I craved a cherry pie all the time I worked on it.
The colourwork pattern is charted separately for different sizes to keep the proportions equal regardless of the size. There is also a sweet touch of lace around the neck, hem and cuffs, which makes this top-down knit-in-the-round pullover even more fun.
The pattern is written for nine sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9) with a finished bust circumference of ca. 90 (100, 110, 120, 130) (140, 150, 160, 170) cm // 35.5 (39.25, 43.25, 47.25, 51.25) (55, 59, 63, 67) in incl. 15 cm (6 in) of recommended positive ease.
There are three body length options provided in the pattern. The sample is slightly cropped (length option 1) and shown in size 2 on a 160 cm (5.3 ft) tall model with ca. 84–66–94 cm (33–26–39 in) body measurements.
