Voloshka pullover

Voloshka or Cornflower in Ukrainian is inspired by this beautiful meadow flower.
These flowers are frequently used in traditional Ukrainian embroidery, especially in the farmland regions. Cornflowers are often found in the fields of wheat and cereal crops, where they look like beautiful blue eyes in the sea of yellow. This design takes me back home.

This round-yoke pullover is knit top-down in the round and comes with the two charted versions of the yoke colourwork: with a light (MC) and dark (CC, as shown on the pictures) background. You can take a closer look at my sample and discover the design process with all its intermediate versions for your inspiration in Episode 20 of my podcast.
