It’s a sister design to Kvit pullover featuring the same floral colourwork pattern. The socks are knit top-down in the round with a pattern, which combines stranded and inlay colourwork and crossed stitches, on the cuff and a short row heel.

Kvit takes its name from the Ukrainian word kvitka, meaning “flower” — an inspiration that couldn’t be more fitting. Designed in the depths of grey winter, the pattern reflects my longing for spring and colour.

You can take a closer look at my sample and discover the design process in my podcast on YouTube.

Sizes

The pattern is written for three sizes 1 (2, 3) to fit 19 (21, 24) cm // 7.5 (8.5, 9.5) in foot circumference (see schematic for measurements). The foot circumference can also be easily adjusted to a number of intermediate sizes. The necessary directions for that are provided.

The sample is shown in size 1 for EU 38 (UK 5.5, US 7.5) size. The yardage is estimated accordingly, which means that you will need slightly less yarn for a smaller foot size and more for larger.
